What material is non-woven

Nonwovens are sheets, webs, or batts made of oriented or random fibers by rubbing, clasping, or bonding. It does not need to go through the traditional textile process, that is, it does not need to interweave or braid the yarn one by one into the cloth, but directly binds the fibers together through physical methods to form the cloth. The production process of non-woven fabrics includes the use of polymer slices, short fibers or filaments through air flow or mechanical mesh, and then through hydroentangling, needle punching or hot rolling for reinforcement, and finally after finishing to form a non-woven fabric.

The characteristics of non-woven fabrics include moisture-proof, breathable, flexible, light, non-combustible, easy to decompose, non-toxic and non-irritating, rich in color, low in price, and recyclable. It has the appearance of cloth and some properties, so it is widely used in medical, health, clothing interlining, agriculture, packaging and other fields. For example, environmentally friendly non-woven bags are widely used in advertising and gifts because of their toughness, durability, beautiful appearance, and good air permeability.
